Shady Grove Adventist Hospital offers a community screening program on Wednesday, May 31 from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Rockville Senior Center, 1150 Carnation Drive, Rockville. Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program is available at many different locations in Potomac, Rockville and Bethesda to help with medicare and other insurance companies. Individual appoitments and information are available by calling 301-590-2819.

Montgomery County's Senior Caregiver Program, a program of the Department of Health and Human Services, is sponsoring a series of five drop-in programs for caregivers taking care of seniors 60 years and older. Potomac Seniors gather on Tuesdays and enjoy a wide range of activities together between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The program offers entertainment, health screening and education, chair exercises, crafts, informational speakers, counseling on issues of interest to seniors, occasional intergenerational activities, theme parties and lots of camaraderie. Mini-trips to local points of interest add another dimension to the wide range of possibilities offered at Potomac Seniors.
