“Anything Goes”

Final Call Auditions

Immediate casting of male and female adult ensemble, experienced in tap and vocal performance. Auditions for “Anything Goes,” Aldersgate Church Community Theater’s 2006 summer musical production, will take place Saturday, May 13 or by appointment at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1301 Collingwood Drive.

Come prepared to sing 32 bars of an uptempo 1920s, 1930s or 1940s song (Cole Porter, George Gershwin, etc. or any song from “Anything Goes” is appropriate), and come dressed to move for a dance audition. Music by Cole Porter. Performance dates are June 23 through July 9, with orchestra.

Tapestry Theater Company celebrates its 10th anniversary with Ray Bradbury’s science fiction classic Fahrenheit 451. In addition to stage performances, the production includes film footage. The production is directed by Mark Edwards, Tapestry’s Technical Director.

From May 12 to 14, A Choreographic Collage: The Center Dance Company’s spring concert features classical and contemporary ballet, theater dance and modern dance by choreographers Paul Wegner, Maria Watson, Shu-Chen Cuff, Kim Swartz, Cynthia Westaway and Nancie Woods, and Grand Tarantelle, a virtuoso piece for 16 dancers to the fiery music of Gottschalk.

The Center Dance Company’s spring performance series is an exciting mix of dance.
