Loudoun County's newest home improvement programs will be the topic of a seminar Thursday, June 29, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Sugarland Elementary School, 65 Sugarland Run Drive in Sterling.
Kelly Marrocco of the Loudoun County Department of Family Services will discuss the Loudoun County Home Improvement Program and the Eastern Loudoun Revitalization Program, which are designed to preserve and rehabilitate existing affordable housing.
The programs make funds available to low- and moderate-income families who currently own homes in Loudoun County that need rehabilitation. The seminar is free, but registration required, call Marrocco at 571-258-3819.

Greenvest L.C., a Washington, D.C.-area real estate company, announces that George McGregor, AICP, has joined the company. McGregor, who has worked as a planner in Loudoun County for the past nine years, has joined Greenvest as the director of community planning.
McGregor graduated from Fairfield University with a bachelor of arts in politics and then completed his masterÕs degree in city and regional planning at Clemson University. Following graduation, McGregor worked as a community and regional planner with the Appalachian Council of Governments in Greenville, S.C. In September of 1997, he became a planner with the Loudoun County Department of Planning.
In January, 2003, McGregor went to work as a senior land-use planner at Reed Smith LLP where Greenvest was one of his clients.
McGregor resides in Bristow, Va., with his wife, 8-year-old daughter and twin boys.
Cathy Pascoe, a sales associate in the Dulles office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, sponsored a rest stop for bike riders during the Tour de Cure held, June 4, at the Reston Town Center. Tour de Cure is a series of cycling events held in more than 80 cities nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist.
