NAME BABY Binturong

The Reston Zoo is holding a baby-naming contest for its new baby boy binturong, born May 31, 2006. The winner will receive a free day admission along with free day admission for three friends. The visit will include an up close and personal visit with the baby and the parents. Email, regular mail or visit submissions are being accepted now through July. The winner will be announced Aug. 1. The Reston Zoo will raise the baby binturong for educational purposes. Binturongs, found in Asia, are frugivorous, or fruit-eating, cat-like animals, also known as bearcats. Binturongs have a civet gland, which makes them smell like Doritos, according to The Reston Zoo. For more information about the contest, call 703-757-6222, or visit the Web site at www.restonzoo.com.
