Long & Foster, Realtors announces its top sales associates in Fairfax County for the month of September:

* Centreville: Pat Lawless and Don DeBragga, managers of the Centreville Long & Foster office, announced Rajeev Vashist as the top producer and the top seller with a sales volume of $4,175,034; Denise Kempton as the top lister; and Reggie Copeland as the agent with the most new listings.

* Fairfax: Frank Lee, manager of the Fairfax Long & Foster office, announced Debbie Dogrul as the top producer and the agent with the most new listings with a sales volume of $5,358,864; and Orrin Powell as the second place top producer.

Prudential Carruthers Realtors' Fairfax office announced the top agents for the month of October were:

* Top Listing Agent — James Gaskill;

* Top Sales Agent — James Gaskill;

* Top Producer with highest settled business — Dennis Mehegan.

The Million-in-a-Month Award went to Eileen Anderson with $1,450,000 in volume, and James Gaskill with $1,536,000.

Long & Foster, Realtors announces the launch of its 14th annual Toy Drive. Between now and Dec. 17, each of the company's 200 sales offices will collect toys for distribution to financially and/or physically disadvantaged children within the local community.

Drop as many new unwrapped toys as you can at your neighborhood Long & Foster office to help bring joy to needy children. Once the toys are collected and presented to area Marines, they are distributed to local churches, social welfare agencies and to the needy children throughout the region.

Last year's National Toys For Tots campaign was one of the most successful in its 11-year history, with the distribution of 12.9 million toys to 5.7 million needy children. Long & Foster collected more than 35,000 new toys throughout its seven-state mid-Atlantic region last year.

Long & Foster Real Estate is sponsoring its $150,000 Scholarship Program for well-rounded graduating high school seniors entering an accredited four-year college or university. The Long & Foster Scholarship Program will award $1,000 to each of 150 worthy recipients throughout the seven-state region for the 2004-2005 academic year. The monetary scholarship award will be made payable directly to the college or university in the student’s name. The deadline for applying is March 1, 2004, and the scholarships will be awarded beginning May 3, 2004. More than 1,200 applicants vied for the 125 scholarships in 2003. The scholarship was increased to $150,000 for the 2004–2005 academic year. Eligible high school seniors must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, demonstrate financial need, indicate positions of leadership they held while a student, and describe in which school groups they have been involved, community organizations in which they have served, and whether they have held a part-time job while in school, to be considered well-rounded applicants.
