McLean High School's theatre department is excited to be putting on William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" as their fall performance.

McLean's theatre students are fresh from a huge success with "Les Miserables" which they performed in spring of 2003, as well as a third consecutive Best Play Cappies nomination for "The Man Who Came to Dinner". McLean also took the top honors at the Kennedy Center Sponsored Cappies Awards, for "David & Lisa" in 2002.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" goes up Dec. 4, 5, and 6 at 7:30 p.m., with an understudy matinee, Saturday , Dec. 6. Tickets will be 45 and are available at the door.

Following this year's fall show, McLean will be putting on its annual festival of student written and directed One Act Plays in the winter, and has selected the comedy "Noises Off!" as its spring Cappies show, to run April 29, 30, and May 1. Sometime midyear, McLean's Advanced theater class will be presenting a black box production of "Twelve Angry Men," and its Drama II class will be touring "Alice in Wonderland" in the spring.
