King Street Branch Bank Robbed

Police are on the lookout for a bank robber in Alexandria. The BB&T branch at 1717 King Street was robbed Monday at approximately 2 p.m.

According to police a man entered the bank and implied to the teller he had a weapon and demanded money. The man fled the bank with an undislosed amount of money.

The robber is described as a white male, in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. Police said he was clean shaven with brown hair, carrying a dark bag and was last seen wearing a blue baseball hat and a white shirt with three-quarter length sleeves.
